Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly confident Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United is close to being done.

The Premier League side have been linked with a big-money switch for Sancho all summer, however, Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to let him go unless they are paid what they believe is fair.

But Solskjaer reportedly believes the deal will be done in time

Dortmund have made it clear that they will not be letting him leave for less than £108m, but United are confident they can get a deal over the line.

A report in Norwegian outlet Dagbladet reports that Solskjaer has recently had a conversation with the 20-year-old England international.

The report goes onto say the United boss believes the transfer will ‘soon be in the bag’.

Sancho is understood to be keen on a return to Manchester, having left Pep Guardiola’s men for Dortmund in the summer of 2017.

Jamie O’Hara says Manchester United paying £100m for Jadon Sancho would be ‘wrong’ and ‘really stupid’

Journalist Fabrizio Romano also reports that Sancho had direct contact with his club’s board last week and told them he wouldn’t go on strike to force through any move, but would be happy to join United if they decide to sell him

It is also claimed Solskjaer is hoping to make one other signing before the October 5 deadline.

United have already made one marquee acquisition following the addition of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

They’ve previously been linked with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, who would most likely partner Harry Maguire at centre-back.
